That would have been so common.
I would suggest watching The Beyond in Italian dub for a change.
Some of the dialogue is a bit different, and there are additional sound effects at places.
Put this interesting film in a new context.
I actually didn't like The Beyond at first(saw it via faded fullscreen VHS). All the issues you've brought up in your review such as pacing were so glaring. But it grows on you with repeat viewings.Alex B.https://www.blogger.com/profile/07724782489291826158noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4093327579257195527.post-85172622384114190652010-11-23T04:15:05.093-06:002010-11-23T04:15:05.093-06:00Hey man, great to read another review on your blog...Hey man, great to read another review on your blog. Honestly it took me a minute before I even realized you were reviewing THE BEYOND since I've never known it by its Italian title. I was like "what Fulci movie is this?" Duh. Anyway, I have seen this film about a handful of times and still haven't been able to fully appreciate what Fulci was trying to do with it. Part of me does "get it", but part of me also can't help but consider BEYOND (and CITY OF THE LIVING DEAD) as being a pretentious piece. Don't get me wrong, though, I still like BEYOND a lot. Not my favorite Fulci, but up there. Great review as always, though. Take it easy, Hans.

PS. I want to ask you something blog-related offline but don't know your e-mail address. Shoot me an e-mail sometime, bro.Aaronhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08390842606960468754noreply@blogger.com
