It's always appreciated.

Aaron--all's well, my man. This one should be on Netflix. I hope you check it out.

Alex--I love Polselli, too. The "Godard of Italian trash," indeed. Thnx.

Neil--thnx man for your kind words. Often, I don't know how to approach a review, so I just go with the flow, so to speak. Normally, I'm not one for narratives in film. I often prefer atmosphere, imagery, and emotions.

Thnx again, fellas, for sharing your thoughts.Hans A.https://www.blogger.com/profile/11328243469224993459noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4093327579257195527.post-62633832996793323732010-02-04T06:10:52.660-06:002010-02-04T06:10:52.660-06:00Another terrific review, Hans. This one certainly sounds like it's dripping with atmosphere. And if the screen shots are anything to go by, no shortage of eye candy! I'll definitely have to track this down.Neil Fulwoodhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14686296295535235988noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4093327579257195527.post-80242994789930986882010-02-04T02:50:54.248-06:002010-02-04T02:50:54.248-06:00What an insightful review of a film few have genui...What an insightful review of a film few have genuine affection for.

I, for one, prefer, "Isabel.." to Polselli's more accessible "Delirio Caldo".
It's indeed the oddedst blend of both trash and arthouse aesthetics.
Throughout his career Polselli seemed to commit one kamikaze act after another, making the hardest-to release films in his field and as a result confining himelf to obscurity. He's Godard of Italian trash to me.Alex B.https://www.blogger.com/profile/07724782489291826158noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4093327579257195527.post-8507448452811960232010-02-04T01:17:00.298-06:002010-02-04T01:17:00.298-06:00Hans, how you been, my man? I'll keep this in mind when I actually have money and can get a Netflix account again (if it's even on there). Anyway, been enjoying the reviews as awlays... I appreciate you bringing a lot of these movies to everyone's attention including mine. Hope all is well with ya.Aaronhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08390842606960468754noreply@blogger.com
